David Rathbun, President, xwave and Executive Vice President, Bell Aliant
David leads xwave guiding the organization’s overall business direction and growth strategy. He ensures its delivery, sales and marketing resources are effectively aligned to deliver exceptional client service to the enterprise market. Focused on building and strengthening client relationships, David ensures xwave is prepared to deliver the products and solutions clients require to resolve their business issues. This includes information and communication technology (ICT) solutions through coordination with the Bell Aliant family. Prior to assuming this role, David maintained a senior executive role within Bell Aliant overseeing several key corporate divisions. A native of Nova Scotia, David holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute. He is involved in several business and community organizations, a member of the Acadia School of Business Administration Advisory Board, and a Board Member of the Prior Learning Assessment Centre.

Gary Folker, Managing Director, Business Development, xwave Healthcare
Gary Folker, Managing Director of Business Development for xwave Healthcare, has recently joined the Board of Directors for the Canadian Healthcare Information Technology Trade Association (CHITTA). The mission of CHITTA is to strengthen the competitiveness of Canada’s healthcare information and communications technology (ICT) industry, through cooperative efforts among members and through direct contact with all levels of government and associated agencies. In addition to his seat on the Board, Gary serves as Co-Chair of CHITTA’s Membership Committee. In his role at xwave, Gary builds and manages partnerships and propels development of an array of healthcare solutions and services. His credentials include spearheading the implementation of Canada’s first fully-integrated electronic patient chart; introducing into the country high-volume scanning of patient records; and creating the largest healthcare document-capture facility in North America. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Acadia University. |

Nadeem Ahmed, Director, Healthcare Sales
Nadeem brings more than fifteen years of industry and public-sector experience to the xwave and Bell Aliant leadership teams. As Director for Healthcare Sales, he is responsible for building the company's healthcare business across geographies and across lines of business.
His career has focused on supporting Government sectoral reform from the private sector. He has brought effective change management and technology solutions to various reform initiatives including land, justice and welfare.
Nadeem is currently focused on healthcare reform and is working with multiple stakeholders and levels of government to bring about effective change that will result in a more efficient healthcare system for Canadians. He has a unique understanding of the interest of all stakeholders including Physicians, Government and private sector. This understanding led to the business model for xwave's Clinical Management Systems (CMS), an ASP-based electronic medical record solution developed in partnership with GE Healthcare that offers Ontario primary-care physicians advanced clinical and practice management functionality.
Prior to this role, Nadeem was Regional Director for the Toronto Business Unit for xwave. Before joining xwave in 2001, he held business-development and marketing roles with Microsoft Canada, JD Edwards and Digital Equipment (presently HP).
Nadeem earned a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with the University of Waterloo's renowned Computer Science and Business Administration Program.

Paul Khawaja, Fulfillment Services
Paul brings to the xwave leadership team more than 10 years of operational and business-development experience. As Managing Director of Fulfillment Services (FS), he is responsible for building and executing the FS business strategy: providing clients with increased efficiencies in product and service delivery, working in close conjunction with leading technology partners such as HP, IBM, Microsoft and SUN. Schooled in computer science and possessing a solid background in information technology, Paul has proven himself an effective agent of change and an influential advocate of efficiency, innovation and excellence. Prior to joining xwave, he held alliance-management and business-development positions with public-sector organizations, for which he spearheaded go-to-market strategy development.

Chan Ghosh, Director, Healthcare Operations, Ontario and Western Canada
Chan brings to xwave, more than 25 years experience in the Information Technology sector, with a strong customer service focus and the expertise to align IT with business objectives. Chan is responsible for delivery operations of xwave’s healthcare solutions in Ontario and Western Canada in addition to managing the Clinical Management Systems’ (CMS) implementation, training and overall IT administration. He is dedicated to delivering services and solutions that effectively connect providers with patients and promote efficiency and reform across the entire continuum of care including the company’s CMS, a web-based application service provider solution developed in partnership with GE Healthcare that offers physicians electronic medical record and practice management functionality. Prior to joining xwave, Chan was the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Symcor and Landmark Global Financial Corp., and held senior management positions with organizations such as Nortel Networks and Mackenzie Financial.

Tom Conners, Sales Manager, Client Services, CMS
With more than 20 years of experience encompassing healthcare technology and global telecommunications, Tom provides sales leadership and client service around xwave's Clinical Management System (CMS). The CMS is an application service provider solution developed in partnership with GE Healthcare that offers Ontario primary-care physicians advanced electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) functionality.
Tom supports clients with highly relevant expertise that includes management of worldwide billing and customer-care systems; EMR development and sales for a Canadian healthcare-technology firm; and, most recently, serving as a Transition Specialist at OntarioMD-a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ontario Medical Association-where he helped implement Ontario's Physician IT Program.
Tom has both an inherent understanding of physician's needs and a solid working knowledge of the CMS solution itself, having been extensively involved in technical and contract development involving the Ontario Government's Smart Systems for Health Agency (SSHA). Appreciating the challenges doctors face in migrating to EMR solutions, Tom works to ensure xwave's CMS makes the transition smooth while delivering optimal improvements.

Dr. Sue Thomas, Medical Director, xwave Healthcare
Dr. Sue Thomas, former Chief Medical Officer at GE Healthcare’s Integrated IT Solutions (IITS) division, has joined the xwave Healthcare team as Medical Director. For the past decade, Sue has helped medical practices across North America adopt GE’s award-winning Centricity Electronic Medical Record. As Medical Director of xwave Healthcare, she will serve as the voice of the customer, providing perspective on behalf of the practicing physician as xwave analyzes and addresses the challenges of the field of medical information services. Sue graduated from MIT and the Yale School of Medicine, then trained in Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut. Before becoming a physician, her undergraduate degree from MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science led to employment at Hewlett Packard and Intel Corporation during the pioneering days of microprocessor development. This experience effectively complemented her medical accreditations, and as a practicing physician in Maine for 15 years, she championed the use of the EMR both locally and nationally. Sue and her husband currently divide their time between Maine and Toronto. |
